CANNABIDIOL 101

Many people ask for this new found chemical known as "CBD" or cannabidiol. This amazing chemical has a vast range of properties to it. We hope by the end of this article you will have a better understanding about what this natural supplement is! We are going to write this article using some of our most commonly asked questions.

Where Does CBD Come From?

CBD is primarily sourced from 1 source, Cannabis! That being said cannabis has been broken down into 2 major divisions, Industrial Hemp, and Marijuana. Unlike Marijuana, hemp has low amounts of THC, and high amounts of CBD in the plant. Marjuana is also federally illegal in the United States where as industrial hemp is not. In the case of CBD Scrip products, all of our CBD is derived from Organic, Cold-Pressed industrial imported hemp. It is also 100% THC Free.

Will I Fail A Drug Test?

CBD Scrip is unwilling to make claims for other company's, but in the case of our products no. CBD is a naturally occurring chemical in the body, and like any other supplement some people simply need a boost.

Does CBD Get You High?

Absolutely not. CBD is non-psychoactive and does NOT have the ability to induce the euphoric high associated with THC.

How Does CBD Work?

CBD work by binding with receptors in the endo-cannabinoid system found in the body. These receptors are found primarily in the brain and central nervous system (CB1 Receptors) as well as the immune system (CB2 Receptors). For more information on the endo-cannabinoid system please view our article on it in the education tab!

What Are The Effects/Benefits Of Taking CBD?

CBD helps regulate the bodies homeostasis. In short it helps balance out your mood, sleep, appetite, pain, immune system response, and hormone regulation. Studies have shown that CBD can help with: Anxiety, Depression, Stress, Seizures & Epilepsy, Headaches, Withdrawals and the list keeps on going. CBD is also proven to be a very strong anti-oxidant as well!

How Much CBD Should I Take?

How much CBD a person needs greatly varies depending on the persons size/weight and what they are trying to accomplish with the supplement. Normally we suggest starting with a bottle of Naturals or AquaFuse 500mg. This would be the equivalent to around 17mg of CBD.

What Does "Full Spectrum" CBD Mean?

CBD is only 1 of hundreds of cannabinoids. There is a huge list of chemicals known as terpenes that can be found not only in cannabis but many other plants as well. These terpenes all have there own health benefits as well, and also attribute to the flavor, aroma and medicinal properties in plants and medical marijuana as well. For example mercene is known for several things, as well as the infamous "couch lock" that india based strains cause. Each terpene is defined by a color. "Full Spectrum" means a terpene from each color range has been added back into the formula's and products. This creates and entourage effect, and allows the CBD to be better utilized by the body. Most CBD company's are NOT full spectrum due to the costs. All CBD Scrip products are full spectrum.
